This project had its origins in the simple idea of taking a small scanned object and transforming it into a grand scene. It all began with a 5-meter tall rock wall I had collected during a trip to Greece some years ago. Starting out, I experimented with the element, carrying out various changes, making copies, adjusting shapes, and adding intricate details through displacement.
As I progressed and introduced greenery and delicate touches, the scene still felt lacking in substance. To address this, I conceived the notion of crafting a bridge that could feasibly find its place in the near future, bridging the majestic rock walls. This creative leap also spurred the concept of integrating a waterfall into the distant backdrop.
Turning to Houdini, a tool known for its creative capabilities, I ventured into creating the waterfall. Here, I'm indebted to my friend Alexandru Manea, who generously guided me through this software, given that it was my first attempt at something of this nature. This exploration also marked my inaugural experience in crafting a tailored soundscape to accompany the visuals. For a fully immersive experience, I recommend enjoying it with stereo headphones to capture the subtle auditory nuances.
